Policies
CornerStone Appraisal Education is an approved appraiser continuing education school certified by the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board for the purpose of offering Georgia-approved appraisal continuing education courses. Our school approval code is 6633. Qualifications for enrollment are to be a Registered, Licensed, or Certified real estate appraiser and/or real estate agent/broker.
All course materials required will be provided to students at time of registration. CornerStone will provide to each enrolled student the current version of the National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) 7-hour Update Course Student Manual as published by the Appraisal Foundation. The USPAP course student must provide a copy of the current edition of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. This book must be purchased prior to class and is available for purchase through The Appraisal Foundation.
Student performance and evaluation will be determined by class participation. The standard of completion involves the student being present for each hour of instruction. It is required that a student be on time and present for each credit hour. Make-up time for missed attendance may be made-up on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the instructor.
This is continuing education curriculum, and there will not be a final examination at the end of each course. Students will receive a certificate of completion upon completion of a course. Your certification information is sent electronically to the Georgia Real Estate Commission within four business days from the date it was received. Please contact the Georgia Real Estate Commission if you wish to verify the receipt of your hours.
A $35 charge will be applied to any account which has a check returned for any reason. Refunds for tuition paid by check will require 2-4 weeks for processing. Refunds for tuition paid by credit card will be reduced by six percent to cover processing fees. A tuition credit, good for one year from the date of issue, may be applied to the tuition for any other course CornerStone Appraisal Education offers. Cancellations less than one week from date of class are not eligible for any refund.
All materials the Board may require for use in a particular course will be made available to all students. We have video, audio and computer equipment available to present Board required material.
CornerStone Appraisal Education, Inc will comply with all related provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and this school will not discriminate in its fees, enrollment, or completion policies on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, familial status or disability.
